This group aims to help learners who have reasonable proficiency in Spanish and who wish to consolidate this and improve their skills at a gentle pace with frequent opportunity for queries and clarifications.

Our classes include both functional language related to travel, shopping, eating out, asking for and understanding advice, dealing with problems to help with visits to Spanish speaking countries, and also more personal language to talk about families, likes, ideas, plans, what
we’ve done and we are going to do, and so on.

We build pronunciation and reading activities into each class with the use of online materials.

The members welcome their ‘deberes’ – homework!

Some of us go to see the Spanish films at Stafford Film Club on Tuesday evenings, often preceded by sharing the Tapas Tuesday offer at Verso Lounge beforehand.
