STAFFORD u3a celebrated 20 years since it was set up in June 2006, with a Coffee and Cake Afternoon. Over 130 of our members attended to celebrate together with thirteen of our original Founder Members. The Founder Members received a flower buttonhole.

A delightful afternoon was enlivened by our own Ukulele Group with a lively sing-song.

We heard about the early history of Stafford u3a from Founder Member Peter Moore and about our more recent history from our Chair Helen Hood. Another of our Founder Members who still runs the register at our Monthly Meetings, Jean Savigny, helped Helen cut the Celebration cake.

A wonderful squad of volunteers made it all happen!

A good time was had by all and it was a special delight to see all our members chatting to each other and to people they didn’t know – definitely observing the motto of all u3as - Learn Laugh Live.

There are now over 40 interest groups of all kinds in Stafford u3a and almost 1000 members.
