The group goes on discounted holidays with HF Holidays – a co-operative that runs guided and self-guided walking and activity holidays at 16 country houses around the UK. These holidays are full-board, in single, twin or double rooms, and you don’t have to walk – you are free to do your own local sightseeing. The holidays may be at any time of the year.

We have had three trips in 2024 – to Malham in the Yorkshire Dales, Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds and St Ives in Cornwall.

Bookings have also been made for 2025 – trips to Keswick in March, Selworthy in Exmoor in April and Alnmouth in Northumberland in October. Currently all single rooms are fully booked, but the leader does hold a reserve list in case anyone drops out. Twin and double rooms are still available.

The group doesn’t hold meetings, but information about future holidays is circulated to all who have expressed an interest. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the leader.
